With their acclaimed debut album „Headache Music“ Kentastic & Rollin Hand aka Torpedo Boyz gained cult status on the independent dancefloors. „Headache Music“ is mad, funny and crossing all borders: Break Beats and pop music meet polka, and French hiphop sits nicely next to Japanese Electronica and bossa rhythms.

Now here is the first single from the upcoming new album to be released in spring 2007. „Japaneeze Boyz“ is a floorfiller in the best Torpedo style. Disco meets Breaks, pure fun and a perfect dose of coolness. Accompanied by remixes courtesy of Smoove (Acid Jazz) and Japan’s allround producer Cubismo Grafico this release is the logical step forward from the last four 12“ singles.

Fort Knox Five/USA, Skeewiff/UK amd The Killergroove Formular/Germany were already doing a great job for the first four singles as remixers and put Torpedo Boyz on the map of the worldwide funk & breaks community. But the album tracks also had a massive impact: „Abacus“ has been running as the music to the current TV spot for „Cheerios“ in England and Australia, „Are You Talking To Me???“ as well as the last single „Start Being Nicer“ are on nationwide rotation in German radio stations. Puma chose „Gimme A Bassline!“ for their summer spot on MTV in 2005, the Italian TV station RAI played a few tracks on the „Le Iene“ show (6 million viewers), the leading Australian radio Triple J did a one hour Torpedo Boyz-Special and put „Are You Talking To Me???“ on Heavy Rotation.

This was followed by bookings for Torpedo-Boyz-DJ Kentastic (USA, Spain, Russia, Holland, Switzerland etc.). Torpedo Boyz are also doing the rounds as an action packed live-band; apart from the classic rock’n’roll line-up (bass, guitar & drums) they have three MCs on stage showing their multi-languaged skills (playing the Fusion Festival 2006, selected shows in Germany and a tour of Russia in November 2006). More tours in Italy, Spain and Greece are in the pipeline for early 2007.

„Blistering breakbeat badness from Berlin.“ (Ursula 1000)
